Privacy Policy

We do not ask you to register and we do not sell personal data. The information we hold falls into two groups:

1. Technical data processed automatically to serve pages safely (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps). Our hosting and bot-protection layers use this to deliver content, stop abuse and keep the site online.

2. Preferences you choose in the browser, stored locally on your device (temperature unit, theme, and your cookie choice). This data stays in your browser — it is not sent to us unless a feature needs it to render a page.

3. Contact-form submissions. When you write to us through the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you submit and use them only to answer your request. Messages are delivered through our email relay provider.

The site only sets non-essential cookies (analytics) after you accept them in the cookie banner. Necessary storage keeps your cookie decision, theme and temperature unit so the site behaves consistently on your next visit.

You can reopen the banner at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer or clear your choice by deleting site data in your browser.

When you accept analytics cookies we load Google Analytics 4 (property G-9T3NDVY0TM) to measure aggregate traffic: which pages are visited, from which country, and roughly how the site performs. Google processes this data as our processor under its own terms.

If you reject non-essential cookies, analytics scripts are not loaded and no analytics identifiers are created.

Some pages embed third-party widgets (for example GetYourGuide activity listings and a sponsored partner banner). Those providers may set their own cookies or receive your IP address when the widget loads, under their own privacy policies. We do not control that processing.

Outbound links to booking partners are marked as sponsored where applicable.

Climate summaries, comfort scores, "best month" rankings, crowd estimates and price indicators are produced from third-party datasets (such as the Open-Meteo ERA5 archive) and from models we build on top of them. They are statistical guidance, not measurements taken at your travel dates.

We work to keep the data useful and correct it when we find errors, but we do not warrant that any figure is accurate, complete or current. Always confirm weather, travel, safety and entry requirements with official sources before booking or travelling.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, to object to processing, and to withdraw cookie consent at any time.

bestime.to is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
